We are pleased to announce that the 1st Mediterranean Graduate Meeting in Linguistics will take place at Mersin University between 25th and 26th October 2007. This event draws participants from across the world to exchange ideas in a relaxed but stimulating environment. The aim of the conference is to bring together graduates from within the various areas of the discipline for them to present current research to their peers. We hope the days will be rewarding for all, both in learning and establishing new contacts. The theme of the conference is intentionally broad. Any graduate student (MA or PhD) is very welcome to submit an abstract on any topic related to linguistics such as

• phonology,
• sociolinguistics,
• psycholinguistics,
• pragmatics,
• computational linguistics,
• discourse analysis,
• applied linguistics,

The language of the conference is English.

A proceedings book will be published after the conference.
